Rockrtx Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I just flash my p6t deluxe v2 with new bios 0406 and i just resetting my configuration in my bios for ram timing for my everyday O.C. 3200mhz with speed step and turbo mode disable and realize that i have still have the 21 multiplier, put the 21 setting and it work....O.C. to 3360. Was i missing something before? or it come with that new bios? How do i know if all my core are at the same speed and not only one? werty316 Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 (edited) Before you updated to the newest BIOS, was the 21x multiplier available when Turbo Boost mode was enabled? Unless I am mistaken enabling Turbo Boost mode should give you access to the CPU's 21x multiplier. If you want to know if all cores are running at the same speed, and they should, download CPU-z. Rockrtx Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Yes the 21 multiplier was there when turbo mode was enable, but i don't use turbo mode so i only got 20 multiplier. Now that i flash to 0406 bios i have 21 multiplier with turbo mode disable. Got the latest version of cpu-z but it is only reading (clock core#0)
ARandomOWL Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Right-click anywhere on the CPU-Z window to chose another CPU core.
Rockrtx Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Right-click anywhere on the CPU-Z window to chose another CPU core. Thanks it work all core at the same speed. so i guess that new bios did the trick for that 21 multiplier (turbo mode disable) :thumbs-up:
Nuclear Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Thanks it work all core at the same speed. so i guess that new bios did the trick for that 21 multiplier (turbo mode disable) :thumbs-up: I would try running LinX or putting a very heavy load onto the system. My V2 allows you to set the 21X multi without using Turbo mode, but under heavy load it drops back down to the 20X multi just as if Turbo was running. Quite a few other users experience this also so its worth checking into.
Rockrtx Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 (edited) Thanks Nuclear i will try to run prime95 for 1 hour to see if it change. What is Linx? Edited May 10, 2009 by Rockrtx

I had to bump my cpu volt from 1.23750 to 1.24375 and it pass 2 hour of prime95 and the multiplier stay at 21.....is that enough heavy load to stay at 21 multi?
