Onion Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Just random pics that I took as soon as I got my new camera. Nikon D5000 with 18-105 lens, 70-300 lens, uv filters, and 8 gig 30 mb/s sd card. I am not going to post many pictures, they take AGES to put on photobucket and convert to 17" 1024x768.
Onion Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Moar pix. My kitty doing what she calls her "sexy pose." Drinking. Check out the water! Mangoes, because they taste so damn good. Birdy. Flowers, macro mode ftw.
SMeeD Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 The flash makes things ewwy and EVERYONE does plants. I like the cat ones though, like the mango one but i cant figure out why.

Onion Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 (edited) Thanks for the replies. Yeah, the flash does make things look weird. Everyone does do plants, which is why I stopped. I only took a couple shots while playing around. Im trying to take some shots of bees, but damn, they don't hold still for more than 2 seconds lol. I really like these 3. Onion Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Great photos of the cat. My envy must be showing.... Do you like the 70-300mm lens? Yeah, they are great, except they can be very tricky to focus on 300mm from more than 45 feet away. Out of 50 pics, only 10 were in focus. I can see your cute little puss is getting a bit wet... Lolz. Lmao nice one Lol, I make dirty refferences about my cat almost every day. The other day, someone asked me what I was doing and I told him I was rubbing my hairy seafood lol. Viewfinder and manual focus? < Would very much like a D5000 (How much was that by the way?) I'd quite like to see some full resolution shots (or even just some crops would be good). Onion Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 (edited) Yes, viewfinder and manual focus. I don't have the AF lens, they were too damn expensive and weren't worth it. The D5000 body was 849.99 at pitman photo suply. I'll pm you some full res shots, some are just plain awesome. I never use the LCD, except for some shots when its really dark, the viewfinder is much more accurate. The total with the camera, the 8 gig 30 mb/s card (blazing fast), 2 UV filters, 18-105 lens, and 70-300 lens, with tax was almost 2000 dollars.
