FUZi0N Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 anything over 3.25gb requires a 64 bit operating system.
Waco Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Question: I have a Core 2 Duo with 4 GBs of RAM, and I installed Windows 7 RC 32 bit Ultimate. But when I go to System, it tells me I have 4.00 Gbs of RAM, yet 3.25 Usable. My motherboard does support over 4 GBs of ram, what's going on? You installed 32 bit. That means your video card and all other devices are mapped to the top of the address space (from 3.25 to 4 GB in your case).
