PSU to handle gts250 @ ati 4850 advice

Recommended Posts

i have 460w psu and using graphic card 8600gt for now. And i want to upgrade my graphic card to either gts250 or ati 4850. my question is, will my psu be enough to handle gts250 or ati4850? this is my psu details:

since both cards minimum power requirement is 450w, i dont want to waste my money on new psu if my psu is enough to handle it.

pls advice.thx in advance :)

my comp spec : amd 4800+, asus m3a mobo, 2gb ram, 250gb hdisk, 256mb ddr3 8600gt

It should be fine but if you aren't sure you have enough power, or you are planning on upgrading more components I would suggest a 550watt or better.

i'm using cooler master extreme power 460w psu. i dont know whether it is reliable or not. most people use other brand like corsair, ocz, xigmatek and others. its not i dont want to upgrade my psu but it gonna cost me extra than my budget though
