Charronc Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 So I got my computer completely assembled and it booted up on the first try. Since then, after being turned off it doesn't like to power back on. I've gotten it to turn on a couple of times by unplugging and reconnecting various things (being the power connections to motherboard, power supply itself), and once on it works just fine. I know the mobo is receiving power because the lights for the onboard power and reset buttons are lit. If you can think of anything at all post it... I'm out of ideas. Here's my parts: Mobo asus p6t intell i7 920 corsair tx750w evga gtx275 seagate 650g samsung writemaster
maj0rgamer Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 hello, welcome to the occ forum... how is the cable that connects to the back of the power supply, that goes to the wall electrical outlet? is it loose? make sure it's snugly fitted into place. is it being bumped while the computer is in use causing it to come loose? you may also want to try another cable to see if it works better. Kingfisher Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Have you tried clearing the CMOS then load defaults and made sure you have RAM set to manufacturer's settings/voltages? What RAM are you using?
Charronc Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Have you tried clearing the CMOS then load defaults and made sure you have RAM set to manufacturer's settings/voltages? What RAM are you using? by clearing the cmos do you mean just unplugging the mobo from the power supply for a while? cause I've already done that. The ram I'm running is gskill http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231225 I tried unplugging and changing the power cable like the first suggestion and nothing changed. I've also completely unplugged everything short of removing the cpu.
