hello, welcome to occ...

please list all system specs, especially what power supply you are using as this may in fact be what is causing the problem.

did you build this pc yourself or have it built?

has anything in the system been overclocked?

dude i can see from here that you cpu is runing very slow....should be 9.5x333 and you would be better off setting you memory to a 1:1 ratio in the beginning since it's a new rig and hasn't been overclocked yet try setting you bios to all auto just until it settles down and you start to get the feel for it....like major gamer said we can help you better if we know ALL your system specs...it would be beneficial to know which motherboard you are using...!!

Welcome To OCC....!!

B:)

quik edit....it looks like your temps are a bit high for that cpu so you may be experiencing thermal protection shutdown....be sure you cpu fan and heat sink is properly seated (firmly, squarely and snugly) on the processor and that you have adequate thermal paste between the heatsink and the cpu

i personally wouldn't think about stress testing until you get the system stabilized ...

your temperatures are through the roof!

open your computer, make sure your cpu heatsink fan is running, and reseat the heatsink. be sure to apply thermal paste right.

There is a good guide here for your board.

I agree you must get those temps under control.

but I will have to respectfully disagree with cjloki about the 1:1 setting unless your just wanting to temporarily remove the memory as an obstacle for an OC.

We are talking about DDR3 memory and the preferred setting would be 1:2 or the difference of running say 800 vs 1600 RAM speed at a 1600 FSB. The choice here is obvious.

I would say from your screenies that you are at stock speed now, which is good, but C1E Halt State is enabled in bios. The Enhanced Halt State does two things: it reduces the clock speed of the CPU by decreasing the clock multiplier down to its minimum value then reducing the voltage, which is why you see the 6x multi in the CPUz screen shot. When the PC is under load it will jump back up to 9.5 x multi and increase the voltage. If you want stability while overclocking You'll want to disable this in the bios at least until you find your stable OC, then you can enable it again to save power and life of you components.

Again follow the link above and you will find it very helpful.

Report back here your progress and questions

Good Luck

edit oh and get another stick of memory ASAP your really cutting down the overall performance without it.

what about the ram?

have you tested the memory with memtest86 to make sure it's free of any errors?

and isn't ddr3 supposed to run in triple channel? shouldn't three sticks be used with ddr3 in order to achieve optimal performance?

this could also be a motherboard issue...

was the motherboard purchased new?

is it under warranty?

had this same sort of problem not so long ago, after building a rig with a used motherboard... was getting random freezes trying to install programs and such after putting the parts together... tried to play a game, it would start and be okay for a short time and then freeze... freeze, freeze, freeze... much like you stated above, and yes it was a bit annoying to say the least.

after replacing the board, everything was fine.

perhaps you should contact the motherboard manufacturer and ask for some assistance.

troubleshooting pc's is pretty much finding the weakest link, testing it and seeing if it can be blamed... and then fixing, or replacing it (temporarily or permanently) and testing to see the results... if it's not the problem, then go to the next part and repeat the process?

but honestly, if your cpu cooler is attached firmly and the fan is working and if the memory is okay... assuming all parts are new (though this still doesn't necessarily rule them out as being without faults), it's highly likely to be the motherboard having some sort of issue.

Hey, well im glad to write that i fixed my problem, i have 3 days with my pc DOwnloading/playing/watching movies and no more Freezes, Crashes or something. it have more than 72 hours working like a charm. Thanks for the replys. Btw the problem was the Voltages on DDR Memory, The Auto option on bios was not enougth voltage for my memory, so finally like 1 week of pain, testing, removing, slaping my hardware is fixed. Thanks.!!!
