Waco Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I'm not going to buy any game that requires a certain brand of video card just to play properly. :/
ClayMeow Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I'm not going to buy any game that requires a certain brand of video card just to play properly. :/ Ummm....just because Jappa linked to eVGA's site doesn't mean it requires that brand. In fact, I'm not sure why he linked to eVGA when it's available all over the place, including my favorite site to download demos (as I get Steam-like download speeds from there). ClayMeow Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I was referring to nVidia versus ATI. If you were truly interested in the game, you'd try the demo out and not make blanket accusations that it doesn't play properly without an nVidia card. Demos are there for a reason . I'm not defending the game, as I haven't played it yet, but your reasoning is silly.

Not having water effects in a game primarily concerned with finding it seems like a big deal to me. The techdemo ran at < 10 FPS on my desktop. The techdemo ran at Well it's not like the water is unrendered for you, you just lose the physx. However, your latter statement is a better reason
ccokeman Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Physx enabled means poor FPS on ATI cards. Its the same with Mirrors edge as well.

slick2500 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 The demo seems to be a no go on Windows 7 click on .exe screen goes black then it crashes.
Waco Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Physx enabled means poor FPS on ATI cards. Its the same with Mirrors edge as well. That's exactly why I'm not going to buy Mirror's Edge.
