DevilMB3017 Posted July 25, 2002 Posted July 25, 2002 I just put in two more fans, a 80mm chasis fan, connected with a 3-Pin to the motherboard, and then a 60 mm fan i put on this thing for a video card...and now my computer is a little lagish. Could this be related, or a freak accident?
Shaggy Posted July 25, 2002 Posted July 25, 2002 Hum, it might be your power supply. If your running anything under 300 Watts, you might be in trouble. I suggest taking them out and then see what happens.
Raife Posted July 25, 2002 Posted July 25, 2002 Also consider powering your fans directly from the power supply and not the motherboard. The mobo has enough to power already. Buy some 3 to 4 connectors. I only fans I have powered off my mobo is the north bridge chip fan and monitors.
DevilMB3017 Posted July 25, 2002 Posted July 25, 2002 Only one fan is off the mobo. The new 80mm i put on it. The other I just put in is on the PS. Also...when I put a fan card for the vid. card, I switched where the network card and vid. card are, could that do anything? vyroburn Posted July 25, 2002 Posted July 25, 2002 not with you issue try to find out how many watts your ps is. then it is 300 and under you might consider getting a new ps around 350 to 550, but those = $$$$ so be prepared to pay
