benesotor Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi, i was wondering seeing as my case (thermaltake elementS) has space for 7x 3.5" HDD's... could i litterally hook up that many normally, as in not in a RAID system? Cheers, Ben
redtigerdragon Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 (edited) If you had enough connections, I believe you can hook up to 26 items (all the letters in the alphabet). Edited April 28, 2009 by redtigerdragon
WhenKittensATK Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I don't see why you couldn't. As long as you have enough inputs, IDE/SATA ports. I currently have 4 hdds hooked to my PC.

Great, cheers, well it says it supports 7x 3.5's and 2x 2.5's, i assume that means it include the IDE connectors, if so great... i need lots of space for video editing
redtigerdragon Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 That may be for your case, but you'll have to check your mobo. You may need a pcie card with extra connections.

After looking, the MoBo seems to support up to 4 SATA drives, that should be enough for me. I just might need one more big-boy to render video to. Ill keep the OS/programme files on my 160 at the moment, and have pictures/music and other files on my 500gb.
