gravy Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 MBM, latest one, was within a few degrees of the bios on the chipset reading, but, the CPU reading in the bios compared to MBM, was like a difference of 30 degrees F !!! Is this something anyone else has seen? From the searching around the forum that I did, it looks like the "accepted" method is to take bios as truth, and adjust MBM to match the bios. ????? d3bruts1d Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Remember, when you look at the temps in the BIOS the system is running the CPU at 100%. Also, MBM may need to be calibrated or you may need a BIOS update. Also, I'd double check to make sure MBM is reading the correct temp (i.e. CPU and not the nb, etc.)
Some_Guy_ Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Also make sure you're using the proper settings in MBM. I can make MBM tell me that my CPU is running at 78C or -54C, as well as 40C (always folding!).
Propane Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 well... MBM reads from the same probes that the BIOS reads from so as long as you config it right... itll be the same
gravy Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Ok, so what do you think about Asus Probe? It uses the info straight from the bios. I have the latest bios as well.
