apostolics Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 have a 880ogt from an hp machine and i want to replace my 7800gt for it but when i hook it up my abit fatality fp-in9-sli just gives me an error. one long beep and three or four really quick ones. am i missing a step ?doing some thing . if i put my 7800gt in the hp all is great and the 8800 works in the hp but the card from hp will not boot in my main pc (fatality) your help is much appreciated Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Waco Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 One long and two short is a video card error. Are you sure the 8800GT works? EDIT: Some boards have issues with PCIE 2.0 devices when they are only PCIE 1.1 compatible. I had to flash my roommate's 8800GT to a PCIE 1.1 BIOS for it to boot in his machine.
