mentaL! Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 (edited) I have seen that there are 2 different models of the HD4850 512mb from gigabyte. 1. R485ZL-512H 2. GV-R485-512H-B or the asus model EAH4850-HTDI-512 which one of these two cards should i be going for? and yes i do want to be able to do a reasonable overclock on it. Edited April 20, 2009 by mentaL! mentaL! Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 could you give me a reason as to why?
Waco Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I'd get the R485ZL-512H because of the upgraded cooler. Other than that there's no difference between the cards.
MrAlex Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Here, the Sapphire Vapor-X is the cheapest 4850 for 115 EUR. So I'd get that...it's cool, has low temps and a silent cooler. The best 4850 IMO! I don't know if you live in the USA: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814102833
ccokeman Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 I have a Palit Sonic that overclocks exceptionally well on air. Highest overclock with the stock cooling Palit had seen. It is looking for a new home currently.

bbbrad Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 (edited) HIS IceQ4 Turbo 4850 This is a good card to if you want to keep temps low and noise down. I am not sure on the overclock, but i know it comes stock overclocked. Edited April 21, 2009 by bbbrad

At that point why not just pay a little more (than rebate) and get a 4870
