bmash Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I'd use IntelBurnTest or Prime95/Orthos. at 230 HT it passed the test 2 times, and failed the rest. at 228, it doesent fail at all, even after 8 tests. so i kicked it down to 228, but thats not helping my orriginal question, lol Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Baulten Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Actually, it is. You have to run these tests to make sure everything is rock solid stable. If it's not, it's a complete waste to go higher, with some exceptions (some boards have reference b us "holes", frequencies at which they are unstable, but over which they are fine), but you've gotta get things stable.
