razor Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I just saw that the OCC [email protected] team recaptured 35th place from the evil clutches of the [email protected] team!! let's keep the forward momentum going and maybe get some new members folding - or maybe get some lapsed folders folding again!! :foldon:
road-runner Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I gave 5 quads the -oneunit early this morning and they are now off this evening. Just to much heat inside as its getting pretty warm outside here.
razor Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 RR, that is NOT the type of action we need to get back to 34th place!!
CheeseMan42 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 My roommate is having computer problems so I'm down a 3850 and I had off from work today so I'm playing TF2 all day. I won't be turning in much this weekend.
razor Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 so while I was looking over our team stats today, I noticed that we picked up about 10 new folders in the last few days. that's awesome, keep it up!
tkrow21 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 (edited) Yeah I finally got some new RAM for a stable system so I've been folding overnight and during the times I'm not home. I also broke 300th place! (lol) Edited April 11, 2009 by tkrow21

beatkeeper1 Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 new to folding adding a few processors to the mix. got a ps3 contributing atleast 12 hours a day, old celeron plugging 24/7 and my core 2 duo laptop doing about 12 hours a day. debating wether or not to setup an old pentium 3 for 24/7 work too. would it contribute a lot? premiumgfx Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Congratz OCC! I'd get Folding, but the problem is that mt PC is slow already, and with [email protected] running, it'd be rendered unusable or very slow.
DLS2008 Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Congratz OCC! I'd get Folding, but the problem is that mt PC is slow already, and with [email protected] running, it'd be rendered unusable or very slow. Run Folding while you're not using the PC. You can pause the work to prevent it from slowing things down.
beatkeeper1 Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) I'm over my grandparents they leave their computer on all day all night and hardly use it. Going to drop the old version of folding at home on here lol. Add one more pentium d desktop to the list along with my aunt's laptop and my cousin's new macbook This is guerilla folding lol. If my college didn't have deep freeze I would have a field day. Let's see how many more i can spread this too. tjmagneto Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Woo hoo for us! I'm at 223rd place and inching my way up. This evening I set up Ubuntu and booted into it just to try the Linux client with the -SMP8 flag on. I'll let that ride until my family yells at me about not being to use the computer. That's OK because I think I'm almost dialed on on the Windows side now with my GPU client and 2 Xubuntu VMWare Workstation and got a little over 7K ppd average over the weekend.
