Do i need two PCI-E connectors to run ati 4790

I have Antec BP500U 500 watt power supply and it only has one pci-e connector...i ve saved up enough for vid card but not a new power supply....want to hold off on power supply till i can get a good one as i have a crossfire mobo and will be adding 2nd card in the future...thanks for replies

Thanks ... sounds like i m in good shape..have intel 8400 with 8800gts 640 mb which has served me well... i m running 3 19 " screens 3840 x 1024 using triplehead 2go so i need some more vid horsepower....

i m a big rfactor racing sim fan...i can easily run that with 30 cars full detail a with 16 ansio and 4x aa .... i can run just about anything except crysis at decent settings... this sight is great for info on surround gaming.. check it out...you ll see most people are not playing just rpg games,,, http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/...x.php/Main_Page

i think most people think if they get say 60 fps with 1 screen then with 3 it will be cut to 20 fps,,, thats not true...usually the performance hit is around 20 to 30 percent but it all depends on the game and the settings...
