greengiant912 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 (edited) Well I need to get my stuff into a bigger case w/ better airflow. Its getting pretty hot in my Antec lan party2 case, so I am looking for a mid. The one I really like is the Antec 902 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811129058 Seems like it has plenty of airflow and enough room for all my components. The only thing is the price, with $18 shipping we are talking @ $177 for the case. I also really like that the inside is painted. A lot of cases don't come like that so in the past I had to paint them myself. Any thoughts ideas? TheConqueror Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Mod your current case and make some extra fans, if you screw up, who cares you were going to buy a new one anyway.. Also apply this :
greengiant912 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) Mod your current case and make some extra fans, if you screw up, who cares you were going to buy a new one anyway.. Also apply this : I've been there done that. There comes a point in a system builders life, where he just wants something to work without doing work to it. I used to be into heavy modding but I just don't have the time anymore nor do I have my workshop anymore ... Money is but isn't so much an issue as it is an issue of how much I really wana spend hehe.... I have a few full cases but the reason I went to this mid atx lanboy case was because I used to do a lot of lan parties and it was nice and lightweight. Thats not really the case anymore... capthowdy575 Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 are you looking for a mid-tower case or full sized case. A full size case is bigger meaning more room for larger parts ie video cards, cpu coolers, water cooling. also are you wanting a tool less case. a little more info and style would help. also whats the max you want to spend
ccokeman Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 If I remember you are a big guy so I would go with a full tower as it makes working inside of it a much nicer experience. I have 2 900's and they so a great job of cooling the components inside them. I like the 1200 better for the additional space. Pretty much thats about it, I doubt I will ever run watercooling, its just one of those things I don't have time for anymore hehe... Like I said I used to do my own modding (painting inside, cutting fan holes, windows, etc....) I really don't have the time to do all that stuff anymore though
kingdingeling Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 The case you want is the Coolermaster CM690, the best case I've ever owned Lots of fans to keep things cool, enough space for all your components, lots of nice features, but all at a decent price! TheConqueror Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 You are defining a Lian Li, because they can be big and lightweight since they are all aluminum, but they cost A LOT

But with the antec you can pull the drives straight out from the front so idk. I am still debating it. I was just looking for some opinions on what ya all thought about the case... I just dropped $150 on the dentist today Edited April 8, 2009 by greengiant912
kingdingeling Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 If you're gonna drop 150$+ on a case, yea, your call, then those are good choices. I myself am a bit cheap on the case side of things, but have been positively surprised with the Coolermaster CM690 (the model situated below the HAF932). It has sideway HDD mounts, mesh all around, it isn't really heavy.... the list just goes on and on! Linkage
