Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King

I just came back from seeing The Return of the King. It was AWSOME! The way of movie trilogies is for each succeeding sequel to suck worse than the last, but this trilogy is absolutely an instant classic that will not be forgotten. I would not doubt if it becomes a cult classic that will play the extended versions over and over after midnight in some theater, somewhere. The Matrix trilogy is already a thing of the past, but this one will live on for a very long, long time to come.

 

This movie was about 3 1/2 hours long, so I don't think there will be an extended version released like they did the first two parts. If there is, it will be 5 hours long!

I havn't seen the movie yet though I should have cause I work

in a movie theater... Been workin too much lately since I transfered

to the theater I work at now.... Me and the woman may go 2marrow

and see it but Im not sure if thats such a good idea... if I take

her neither of us will be watchin the movie... seriously... heh

I also saw it today... very cool. I was surpised that it would be so good. I was looking forward to the next matrix's for like 2 years then they finally come out and they suck But RotK was a very good movie... and long.

Marry and his little buddy should have hooked up in the end, yes that would of been good stuff. Sorry, don't mean to offend any of you hardcore LOTR heads, but my girl and I foudn that movie way to funny.....yah we toke.

The first Matrix was fantastic, ground breaking, and had an incredible story line.

 

The Second Matrix hardly had a story line and was mostly a drawn out car chase, but it fit with the first Matrix, and had raised some very interesting questions. Why could Neo stop the sentinals in the "real world", why could Agent Smith, a digital program (1's and 0's) exist in a "real (anologue) brain", and remember the little guru boy? He gave Neo a spoon and said just remember that the spoon is not really there. Well, before Neo went up (and later got paralized after stopping the sentinals) the guru boy gave Neo a spoon, a very bright and shiny spoon that did not fit in with the underground world. Could he be telling Neo, the spoon is still not there?

 

The Third Matrix failed to fit in with the first and second Matrix by not answering the questions asked in the first and second Matrixes. Instead, it got into some stupid crap about a train conductor - which is contrary to the matrix being what it is, a virtual world to fool humans into being batteries. You have all of these programs running around doing stuff and Morpheus and Trinity never noticed them before? It failed to answer why Neo was able to stop the sentinals in the "real world," and how Agent Smith, a program, was able to survive in a human brain.

 

The correct answer should have been: Neo stopped the sentinals in the "real world" because the "real world" is really still, the Matrix, and they're still jacked in, only they think they are free, except Neo who now discovers that he's still jacked in. Agent Smith survived in the "real brain" of that dude, because that dude is really his virtual self and the real-real body is dead now since agent Smith displaced his mind in the virtual body. There was no place for a train conductor in that movie. That was crap. So was that thing with the "family of programs". It totally went away from what the first two movies were doing. The thing with the renegade programs was suppose to be a side story to help the movie along, instead it competed with the main focus and so the movie lost its original story line focus.

 

By itself, the third Matrix was a good movie, but it did not fit in with the first and Second Matrix, and it failed to answer those questions adequately. That's why it sucked.

The first Matrix owned. The second one was alright, but was centered on life, instead of the Matrix itself, as the first one was. Then the third one was about death and whatnot, and the train conductor was totaly useless. As I see it, they got worse with each movie. I don't like all-out action scenes, which is what the Matrix turned into. I did understand it (at least I think I did). But, before I forget, I've got to say the biggest problem I had with all of the movies. The whole battery idea cannot work. I cannot remember the numbers I calculated a while back.. but they are irrelevant. That idea violates the law of conservation of energy, it takes more energy to keep a human alive than can be taken from them. And Agent Smith was such a cool charactor.
