Sling Media Sticking it to early adopters

I have been waiting for two freaking years for Sling Media to finally produce an application for the iphone. Now.....when it is finally happening they tell us that in is not going to support the Slingbox Classic and we will have to upgrade to a newer box. Oh......but wait.....they are going to offer a $50 rebate off of the new box!!!!!! Woopeeee!!!!! let's see the appt is $30 and with a rebate a new box is only $200 what a Grrrrreat deal!!!! and in this booming economy it's even better.

 

You know I wouldn't be half as ticked as I am right now if it wasn't for the fact that the beta application ran just fine with the Classic box.

 

This is about greed...and taking advantage of people at the worst of times. Way to go Sling/Echostar.....or should I just call you AIG. :angry2:

Ya that's too bad if I got a Iphone it would mean I would have to upgrade to a new sling box as well since I only have Slingbox Pro.

 

Besides greed and money the reason why there doing this is because there is no competition in there market (to my knowledge Slingbox is only TV streaming device on the market) and they can do pretty much whatever they want because there costumers have a choice of either giving up there Slingbox or buying a new one they don't have a 3rd option of going a different company because there are none that exist yet.

Yep they are ripping-off as many people as possible. I will continue to use their product for as long as it works but I won't buy anything else from them and I will not promote their product to my friends and family like I have in the past.
