Maybe go for a 4870x2 or so. Dropping the psu a couple notches and cpu would let you crossfire on same budget. Could get dual 640gb western aaks/etc and raid-0 them, if you want the storage and still have plenty of speed. Or similar. Just thoughts though. TheConqueror Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Why would you waste 600$ on a freacking NZXT khaos
mattwalter85 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 if you're gonna spend that kind of money man first off get a 920 instead of the 940, then get a gtx295 rather then a 4850x2 then get a corsair tx850w psu, pick up some corsair or gskill ddr3 1600 memory and i DEFINATELY wouldn't throw that money away on any NZXT case, just my two cents take it for what its worth
ccokeman Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Why would you waste 600$ on a freacking NZXT khaos Cases are a pretty personal decision. What you like may be something someone else thinks is absolutely horrid. The Khaos is pretty cool looking IMHO
IVIYTH0S Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 don't get the 940, it is the worst i7 out since it offers VERY little more than the 920 and costs a lot more than it. (and if you have a microcenter near you, the 920 is $200 right now) also I'd look into the new 4890 and GTX 275, they look to be pretty good and may be released at good prices
lankeyluke Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Consider spending a bit more and get a WD 500gb black and a solid state drive. Bit more money but more storage, less noise and power consumption and better speed
