TheConqueror Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Wow good job! Well maybe I just like to have a very souped up PC, but still the above build looks nice.
aritchey Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 imo i wouldn't buy a heatsink for a budget build just cause that money could be put into a better processor. the gain you will see out of oc'in that processor is gonna be crappy. but if you just a cool freak then go ahead and buy the cooler. these should be better than the other cpu listed http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819103244 this one is $68 and has an unlocked multiplier so this will be more fun http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819103300 another amd black edition for $65, just consumes less power if that is an issue for your build http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819103289

Crazy_Nate Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 If you're just gonna forgo the other components, I'd recommend skipping the Phenom, and go for a Phenom II X3 (with a 790X or 790GX motherboard). If you don't want to pay atrocious shipping on AS5, buy it from SVC: http://www.svc.com/as5-3g.html

Nuclear Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 If you want a really good budget build for the items you listed above, here's what I would buy: 1. AMD 7750 KUMA (K10) Dual Core CPU AMD 7750 2. Gigabyte 780G ATX Board: Gigabyte Board 3. Antec 300 Case: Antec Case 4. Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer with Thermal Compound: Core Contact It brings your total to $257. Everything listed above is budget, but not cheap and offer room to upgrade. * I can't believe I just helped a Gamecock fan...Go Tigers!!
