I don't know how you guys deal with this libel law over there, buy Emily MacManus at open democracy doesn't think it's right. A brief sum up is basically that no cases against this law are going to court because of your "no-win no-fee" law, where if you lose you pay the cast of the winners fees, which can be enormous. And if you get someone saying whatever you say on your post, blog, whatever is libelous than you better take it down.

And if you get someone saying whatever you say on your post, blog, whatever is libellous than you better take it down.

And going from that article, if you (i.e. the owner of the blog/site) successfully defend yourself, you have bugger all chance of ever recovering your costs as the claimant is not normally in a financial position to pay up. To quote - "as a lawyer knows, there's noting more dangerous than a claimant who has nothing to lose". So as they state, for the defendant it's a "lose-lose" situation.
