supergeek101 Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 hey youguysi just bought 2 evga 55nm gtx 260 and i got them into my case and decided they look ugly with no backplate so i was wondering would a gtx 295 backplate fit i know a couple of screws wont but most should i looked and a picture of the backplate and the screws seem to line up what do you guys think i should do has anyone tried it i read that the gtx 295 was 2 gtx 260 55nm's together on one card and that is why im wondering if it will fit thanks alot i hope you can help me The problem is that the back of the card has solder points and you do not want the backplate to short it out. If they do not sell backplates designated for the 55nm gtx 260, I wouldn't recommend using one from a gtx 295 (which im assuming you would've bought after you got an answer)

mattwalter85 Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 my 295 has a TIM pad and also has a few clear silicon looking buttons i'd call them im guessing to cover the places where it could possibly short out at and it came with new spring loaded screws also
