connor776 Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Is Norton antivirus 360 worth the cost or what is a better antivirus software?

romeo55 Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Unless they have changed norton since back when I tried it, you need an i7 @ 4.2Ghz and 6Gb of memory just to run the thing. +1 AVG Free...  They have. The 2009 version has been completely revamped due to the performance complaints and what not. It even comes with a little memory/cpu gauge. Be sure though that the 360 package says version 3.0... version 2 is the well bloated 2008 thing.  Though I'd stick with AVG free... since it's free and pretty good. Dr_Frankenstein Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I just unistalled 360 from a freinds machine yesterday, I installed AVG Free and Spybot S+D Found 5 Trojans 3 Virus's and A list as long as my arm of various other crap, -1 in my books for it to miss all of that its not earning rep from me
Art@zzie Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I've had such a lousy experience in the past with Norton, that I stay away no matter what the hype. I use Avast, Spybot S&D, and Zonealarm with no problems.
