The case was made of steel but it felt more flimsy than the stainless steel pipe that that I have. What RPM should I keep the rotary on? 1 cm of stainless steel is pretty damn think...I think you mean 1 mm. In any case, a rotary tool will tear through it pretty quickly. I've got a Black & Decker RTX and I've sliced through our garage door to install a new mounting bracket for the opener. Definitely want to cut metal at the tools maximum setting otherwise you're in for a long grind. Just make sure the disks are rated for rotary tools max speed otherwise you might have some problems.
