nVidia_Freak Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I'd imagine running Vista x64 with only 1GB of RAM has something to do with it, especially since you're running the minimum for BioShock and Vista (assuming it's not Home Basic). 333 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 nVidia beat to it, but what he said. You might also try disabling some of your HID devices. Read somewhere that a guy couldnt run it either and did that and ran just fine afterwards
ClayMeow Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 It's definitely not a Vista 64 issue, as I ran Bioshock fine on the rig in my sig.
cchalogamer Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 the system specs are:intel core 2 t5200 @1.6 ghz 1gb ram 512 graphics memory 1GB of ram and Vista x64 was a VERY bad idea, you're using more address space and cutting the amount of usable ram compared to a 32bit OS. Also "512 graphics memory" 512 of what...shared system memory? an Hybrid? What actual GPU? Sure my 8800M GTS has 512MB and does nicely, but I've never seen anythign of that range in a laptop that uses parts like a t5200 and just 1GB of ram... I think now would be a good time for a GPUz screenshot
Waco Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Update Bioshock for starters. I didn't have any problems (aside from pretty bad choppiness and stupidly long load times) when running it on my HTPC when it only had a gig of RAM and Vista 64.
