Thanks for this but I have enough money for the Phenom II X4 940, so should I go with that?

Yeah, upgrading the 940BE is only $48. Definetly worth it. Also the combo aplies to to the Gigabyte 790GX board which is a $30 upgrade too (I personally are indiffernt to either brand of mobo).
