tkrow21 Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I wouldn't go for a low cache quad like the Q8200. Even though the Q6600, it'll perform slightly better. I would recommend Sapphire for the 4870. Also, if you're into gaming, I would pick up a Phenom II, because of the amazing savings.
IVIYTH0S Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Phenom II 940 X4 A nice 790FX or 790GX motherboard 2x2gb of 1066 mhz 5-5-5-15 memory a seagate, western digital, or samsung 640gb drive or bigger (as bigger drives have higher platter densities and are faster) what resolution do you play games at? if you are to stick with Intel then get a Q6600 because it may be older but it's alot better than the Q8200 heck I bet it could even leisurely outclass a Q9400. do you need a case, dvd burner, power supply?
