CestusGW Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 (edited) OK, just got myself a new Asus A7V600 and flashed it to the 1006 BIOS. Sat down to start getting it ready to go and found a couple of questions! Ready? Here they come: 1) Under my advanced tab, I found an option for "Performance", having two settings: optimal and turbo. Uhm .... anybody know exactly what the heck those do? 2) My XP2500+ (barton) CPU wasn't performing as expected. I kinda stumbled onto the fact that my CPU is now unlocked, but I'm not quite sure how to set it now! What's the default multiplier for the 2500? (There are default settings for what looks like a 2200 and a 3200) *edit* actually .... nvm, my chip is staying cool at the 3200 setting neways 3) After using SiSoft Sandra to do some benchmarking, it looks like my RAM isn't performing to spec (it's PC2700, one stick of 512). Where can I find a good guide for what all the RAM tweaking options are and where mine should be set? *edit* Resolved that issue on my own, was looking at benchmarks crooked 4) Have another option with my AGP control options that reads 'AGP Performance Control'. This can be disabled or enabled. What exactly does that mean and do? Had some more questions, can't think of them till the next reboot. I'll add them then! TY in advance for any info anyone has about these issues Edited December 28, 2003 by CestusGW
