3vilJ3st3r Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 I am oc'ing my xp 1700+ at 2.1ghz @ 1.675 volts at the moment, I have a thermalright slk 800 with a ttsf2 running around 3500-4k rpms with as3. and 2 ttsf2 fans for the case along with 2 slower 80mm fans for the case (one each front and back, trying to cut down on the noise according to mbm my temperatures are: case 21c socket 29c diode 33-35c and this is with prime95 running in the background.. is this even possible? It seems awfully low to me considering the voltage is bumped up and i'm running the processor at almost 700 mhz above its stock speed. I ordered an external sensor/fan controller, so I'll see if it stays consistent with what mbm is reporting now. Also in the bios it reports cpu temperature in the hardware monitor as 18-21c, sometimes it goes up to 24 or 25c. I read that the computer runs the processor at 100% in the bios so if the asus temp readings are up to 10c off like everyone says, it would be consistent with the mbm readings at 30-35c.... anyone have any thoughts on this? Propane Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 sure... at a little higher voltage I am getting 35 on the CPU... we keep our house hot though
airman Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 i guess it could be possible with that slk 800. 1.675v shouldn't make it too hot, so yeah, it's possible.
