d3bruts1d Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 The previous topic had a good run (started in 2005!), and showed a lot of really cool desktops. Sadly, a lot of the images are no longer available. I'm sure we all have different desktops now anyway. So here ya go, post a screen shot of your Windows desktop. It'd be helpful to others if you included some details about what's going on in your screen shot. i.e. Windows version (XP, Vista, Win7, Server, etc.), shell replacement apps (LiteStep, BB4Win), widget programs (Google Desktop, Konfabulator), custom themes, etc. If you have a large image, please attach it so the forums can shrink it down. And if your wallpaper contains nudity please cover it up. So, who'll be first?

d3bruts1d Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Yes, this is really what my Windows Vista desktop looks like... and I don't even really use the Firefox icon there. I always hit CTRL+ESC to bring up the start nenu and type the application I want. i.e. winword, mspaint, firefox, etc. But then again, I only use this system a couple of hours per week. Savan Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 here's mine anybody know a way to make it so a folder is 100% transparent? I want to put all my icons in an invisible folder with no name. So when I open it, they all show up where they are now, but when its closed it looks like there is nothing there.

Savan Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 to clarify. Im looking for a way to make an open folder have a transparent background. I know how to change the icon of the folder to a transparent one, and I know how to make it so the folder has no name, but I dont know how to make it so when I open it, the icons inside the folder pop up on top of my background. (a way to set a picture as the background of the folder would work too) thanks here's mine anybody know a way to make it so a folder is 100% transparent? I want to put all my icons in an invisible folder with no name. Turophiliac Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 (edited) I have 3 screens, but the forums don't like pics that big lol! these are the important ones. the dock on the top is ObjectDock and the one on the left is RocketDock. they only show up on mouse-overs but I figured i'd show 'em for the screenie Oh, and the clock in the corner of screen 2 is a proggy called CrazyClock. I just wanted something I could see in-game so I knew how many hours I was wasting lol. vista ultimate 64bit SP1.
