Oc Cpu With Out Bios?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

My OLD intel P4 mobo does not have OVERCLOCK options in its bios (which sucks) http://support.gateway.com/s//MOTHERBD/Int...19040nv.shtml... I stumble across memset which is awesome!! Is there any way to OC my cpu without going through bios??

Thanks for looking... :)

Not on a board that comes from most computer manufacturers. If you want to overclock you'll have to get a motherboard that is capable of overclocking.

A lot of boards that do support overclocking come with some kind of software to overclock while in windows, but I can guarantee you that there is no such software for that board.

Clockgen is one, but I'd verify compatibility...and just be very cautious...BIOS really is the best place to OC
