road-runner Posted December 25, 2003 Posted December 25, 2003 (edited) How on earth do you get that heat sensor under the CPU, I have the Hardcano9 It is to long to fit under the P4, I tryed folding it in half, that worked got it under there on top on the neoprene and between the CPU and through the pins and put the lever down so I tested it to make sure it works before I seal all of this up and it no longer works, I have 1 more and I do not want to ruin it. Any suggestions? Maybe on the back of the board under center of of the cpu? Edited December 25, 2003 by roadrunner
Nuclear Posted December 25, 2003 Posted December 25, 2003 i would take and split the sensor, it won't hurt it. Use a little thermal tape or paste and secure it to the side of the IHS. It will give accurate temps and not affect the HSF contact.

If so would I want to put it on the cold plate or the other plate that the peltier is going to be heating? I dont think I understand where you are saying to put it. Someone told me put it under the center of the CPU and run the little wires through the pins of the CPU, but thats were its to long to fit, if I split it all the way it will loose its circuit wont it?
