bloodking Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 anyone had a problem like this before?? on my rig i OC'ed the athlon a few days ago to 1783 MHz and after several benchmarks it was stable as i never seen before. but now when i was browsing on the net it started to become unstable. i've tested it again with 3dmark03 and indeed it couldn't get past the first three tests. my voltages are : VCORE 1.75 IO 3.5 DDR Vvoltage 2.65 got pc2100 in the system, is it possible that the mem couldn't handle it anymore or is there some other problem?? anyone got me some info on this?? BTW gonna unlock the bastard on friday so wish me good luck
Eva_Unit_0 Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 What's your fsb at? I'd be willing to bet the memory is the problem. Relax the timings all the way and see if the problem gets better. Or even better, buy some pc3200 or better.
bloodking Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 FSB was at 150 at multiplier 11.5 i just have one question then...how do i relax the timings?? i mean which settings exactly do i have to change?
Special_K Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 its probally the ram. i tried to set mine to 150 and i couldnt even do that. i got two stick 256 generic and 1 512 stick all ddr2100. but yea, your gonna have to invest in some better ram to really oc. good luck
FanATIc205 Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 yes its possible. if you have a spike in room temp tht can make your oc go south rather quickly. it could also be your ram i would go for at least pc3200 that way you dont have to worry about that if get a 2500+ or newer cpu
