music Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 Ok so im building my new machine....got everything decided and planned out....but video cardsssss aargh i cant come to a conclusion. Mostly i'll be using it for 3d studio max, maya and photoshop. More graphic design than games, but i do want to be able to play the most recent games no problem. Price range being 500 or so i cant decide ATI's Xt vs 9800p VS Nvidia's higher end cards. Anyone have any suggestions or personal expierences with this that would help? Greatly appreciate it
ClayMeow Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 You have $500 to spend on a video card?? The 9800XT is the best one out there right now...can't go wrong with that.

Agallion Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 <_< hes talking about cards of 3d rendering..not gaming cards.. i think the 5950 5900s out preform the ati in 3dsm and Maya rendering
Neural Interface Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 You should really hold out a couple of months the whole next generation of hardware is coming, there is a site that I read a couple of days ago that listed and explained all the new things to come but I cant remember it right now

Some_Guy_ Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 There's always something coming out "in a few months" that makes everything obsolete. This isn't news.
