Need Some Help On Building Computer

Recommended Posts

Didn't you read the part about "Low Budget"?

I would say

Intel Core 2 Duo 7200

Ram- 3-4 GB Patriot, Mushkin, or Corsair

Video card- ATI Radeon 4830 or 4850

Asus P5Q Pro looks decent

Case- Ultra Aluminus Or the CoolerMaster 690

Power supply- 450+ watts, preferably ULTRA band

no becuase ne never mentioned low budget to begin with :)

"I'm not running on a high budget. Getting job at best buy, so I'm going to order things, get money, order more etc."

So my guess he will be building it over time.

In my opinion, just get a 4670. If you are not gaming "much" then there is no need to go for a "performance" card such as an 8 series or 9 series card.

Also be aware buying an open box product means you "might: just get the main product.

And if you get that case and psu it totals to about $125. You could save those $25 and get the case i posted earlier. Also the psu that comes with the Sonata, Antec Earthwatts 500W is in my opinion a lot more reliable than the Cooler master unit.

Hope everything goes well with your build mate.

Have fun :)

get the cm 690.....

Yea, I think that's what I'll get. Coolmaster, with the blue side panel. Totals $104. With a power supply. They are going cheap, all rebates. Soo, I'll check back tomorrow, see if they are cheaper.

Which brand do you think is good?

I never built a computer before, Only fixed. So, I don;t know which brand is good and which is not. :-\

He clearly stated that he was looking for something low budget.

If you are going to get a cheapy case you should take a look at these.

I have one of these, looks awesome. Never had a problem with it, and the side fans cools all my parts very nicely.

Just ordered one of those, I will let you know how it turns out.

Also, you could get rid of that 8600 and get one (or two) of these..

That one is pretty nice. But very cheap. Why? I do like the blue light.

Personally, I wouldn't get an open box motherboard. Anything else is fine open box, but with the motherboard, you prolly won't get sata cables, might not get the IO shield plate, the manuals, or anything. It's a really big help to have those (because you'd have to try and find the same IO shield plat off eBay or something.)

Just my 2c

I am not sure why it is so cheap, it's a solid case and I like it a lot.

460 watts should be more than enough for that hardware, unless you plan to crossfire or SLI. Then you may be pushing it. The reviews say it's an excellent case, so who am I to doubt. Like I said, ordered one. Maybe I will do a review for the OCC on it.
