abid Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 hello! its me... AGAIN..... i know u all hate me..... lol. just now i found out that my TRUE and its two 120mm fan vibrates in a very very very small magnitude... will it decrease my performance? im using the silverstone fn121 [x2] 120mm fan 9 bladed design!! wuuuuu!! Silverfox Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 It will cause your temperatures to rise by a factor of measured vibration over the surface area of the TRUE. Be warned.
abid Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 WHAT!!! OMG!! u gotta help me!!! how to make it not to vibrate!!
Silverfox Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 WHAT!!! OMG!! u gotta help me!!! how to make it not to vibrate!! First of all, I suggest you calm down. Your temper will only make the oscillations of the vibrations increase exponentially. Secondly, you need to get some peanut butter to lubricate the fan bearings. Then, you need to hope that the vibrations don't damage the CPU.
abid Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 but ive just check it... i found out that the fan is vibrating only... so how?
suchuwato Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Q6600s have a high vibration failure rate... so be careful! As Silverfox said, Peanut Butter will lubricate the bearings well, but make sure it's smooth, not chunky. DON'T get any peanut butter on the mainboard or CPU! Silverfox Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 but ive just check it... i found out that the fan is vibrating only... so how? Because of logarithms. They don't compute well when two fans are used in unison conjunction with one another alone. Have you never built a computer before? I thought this was common knowledge. abid Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 honestly i dont understand.... especially about the peanut butter
suchuwato Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 If you've got two fans it crates a double exponential function like this: f(x) = a^a^x F = -cV where C is the viscosity of the peanut butter, which is ~250,000 centipoise - so you can pretty much work it out for yourself... 1 centipoise = 0.001 Pa
Silverfox Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 honestly i dont understand.... especially about the peanut butter Are you winding me up? Seriously ... if you're trying to make fun of me, I'm not going to help you any more.
abid Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 double exponential function like this: f(x) = a^a^x what does that suppose to mean?
Waco Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 You guys are evil. OP - don't worry about the vibrations.
