sYstEmATiC Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 That's bad. Bad bad bad bad. I'd say a waterblock is in order here. if it gets that hot then i strongly suggest that you not use that computer until u have a wb or something....jerry rig a 40mm fan on it or something for the time being, a fan went out on one of my videocards once so i temporarily used a 60mm fan held on by 1 screw lol. Ziggy54354 Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 i taped a 40mm tape onto my stock NB heatsink. Im even running at a higher NB voltage using the uber bios and it doesnt get hot at all. If u dont wanna take ur motherboard out just buy a cheap 40mm fan tape it on and it should work.
Special_K Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 it would be better to epoxy it on rather than tape... which could melt or watch fire...
LobbDogg Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 Does anybody know of a NB waterblock that would fit this P4P800 Dlx? Like I said, it doesn't have the holes in the mobo for the bolts for a conventional block.
Special_K Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu...tml?id=89Bkc4ZT this one would do very well but you would have to epoxy it, its pre-lapped too

LobbDogg Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 Thanks roadrunner, I was sorta looking at that one but never found good enough pics to see how it mounts to the mobo. I will probably pick this sucker up in a week or so.
TypicalSloan Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 I have the dangerden block, u just cant beat thier service. It works great and mounts in secs. I asked them to send some crush pads to put around the chip. They also recomend using thermal adhesive, which i dont really like that idea so i went with ceramique.
