asus Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 Go to a video store that rents dvd's. If you know the people or for a small price, they may use there profesional disk refinisher. I had it done, and it works 24545X better then the disk doc. but now i have a disk doc and it works fine
Propane Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 I know our video rental store does it for like $1.50 per disc (ever notice that a CD spells disc with a c but with a k for hard disk)
Paranoid Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 I noticed that too. I wonder why they spell disk/disc two different ways?
General912 Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 well i think ill pick up one of those cd docs will the dvd one work with cds and vise versa? Paranoid Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 They grind them until they are completely scratch free. Those are supposed to be the best scratch removers on the market.
General912 Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 i know the data is on the top of the cd. The bottom can be abused a little. But i just cant see them taking the scratches out. I just see them making more scratches
Paranoid Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 It grinds the whole disk until it is flat. The grinder is the size of the disk, so it will even it out.
Special_K Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 yea and unless these scrathes are all teh way through the cd, then you should be fine. if you have any more q's post a pic of your cd so we may assess the scratches ourselves
