thkz for the reply, sorry for not getting back to the topic sooner. was out of town for a week. anyways, nope, there are no plans for overclocking on this system. so a pair of value rams would be alrite. this system isnt meant for me anyway, its for a friend who doesnt know the difference between memory timings n speeds. but ya, switching the PSU for silverstone strider 560w. thks for the advice.

Penryn was the die shrink to 45nm. all dual and quad cores made off the 45nm process by intel are penryns. but to be able to distinguish between dual and quad they used wolfdale for dual cores and yorkfield for quads. all chips from intels 45nm process are penryn.

I've checked it today: We have a Core2Duo E8400 Penryn for 660PLN (225.15USD, 160.88EUR) it has 3MB cache (per core) 1333MHz bus and 2 cores running 3.0GHz each ;) (I know You can have one cheaper, but not here;) )
