Please guys tell me if this is good to use because right now I think it is..

I'm actually getting FarCry2 at UltraHigh - High which I think is reasonable. :blush:

what settings do you want? i can run the benchmark now for a single Asus card (which i have)

 

 

edit: i did a benchmark for a single card. it looks like you can play it on ultra high but i did notice shuttering goes away in Dx9 (anyone notice that?)

 

1440x900 Ultra High DX10 AA 8x:

 

* Average Framerate: 9.81

* Max. Framerate: 13.36

* Min. Framerate: 6.85

 

1440x900 Ultra High DX10 AA 2x:

 

* Average Framerate: 36.11

* Max. Framerate: 51.90

* Min. Framerate: 27.99

 

1440x900 Ultra High DX10 AA OFFx:

 

* Average Framerate: 41.86

* Max. Framerate: 59.04

* Min. Framerate: 33.64

 

1440x900 Ultra High DX9 AA OFFx:

 

* Average Framerate: 48.74

* Max. Framerate: 62.76

* Min. Framerate: 41.43

 

1440x900 Lowest Settings Possible DX9 AA OFFx:

 

* Average Framerate: 119.71

* Max. Framerate: 174.31

* Min. Framerate: 82.70

One thing to add, I wouldn't suggest using 8x AA, the highest I would use is 4x.

well depending on the game, just adjust it a setting where the gameplay doesn't suffer while getting the best possible visual experience

Well yea, but I think it looks pretty blurry even on 4X in CoH, I like it though, I don't think everybody likes the blurriness though.

i must say above 4X i barely see any change to be worth the performance loss, it generally only helps in an area with a large view distance

Probably the difference in resolution. I'm guessing you're on 1024x768?

 

Yea thats probably the reason, I would suggest playing on a higher resolution and maybe put some of the graphics down, in the end it looks better :)
