Unix.... Without it, there wouldn't have been Windows, Linux, Mac, or Lindows. Unix was the 1st major stepping stone.

 

Which do I like more? Linux.

Cant top that... I mean it was the first OS that you didnt have to actually code a new os just for one machiene.

Window 95 was the first Microsoft OS with an easy to use GUI.

I think its a toss-up between windows 95 and unix. Windows 95 made computers what they are today for the majority of the population, but Unix started it all. Anyway, xp and linux are both better nowadays anyway.

I tried using Redhat, but I couldn't install any of my programs so I went back to Windows.

Unix is the biggest advancement. Without it, OS's wouldn't be as far as they are now.
