I have Windows XP Home edition and am connected to the Internet through a DSL connection. I set the Windows services to these settings http://www.overclockersclub.com/guides/win..._services/2.htm and lost my Internet connection. Which one (or ones) do I need to change to stay connected to the net?

Enable and set Automatic on the following:

 

-DHCP Client

-Remote Access Auto Connection Manager

-Remote Access Connection Manager

-Telephony

 

If you connect through WiFi - Enable Wireless Zero Configuration

Reboot your PC and tell us what happens.

some of the settings have two options listed for depending on what you need. A quick look tells me it could be DHCP or maybe Wireless Zero Config if you disabled it.
