redtigerdragon Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Ok, so i was wondering what monitors you guys would recomend? Size? Resolution? I want a good one for both gaming and movies. I'm kinda new at this so I don't really know what's good and what's not. I'm going to get a new ATI card and rig soon (relatively, and probably either the 4850 or 4830), and I don't want to spen a fortune. Just wanted to get a good opinion. Also, does brand matter, and if so what are the good ones?

But this would be great for movies
g0tanks Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 My 8800GTS 640MB does fine on 1920x1200, 1920x1080 wouldn't push the 4850 too much. It will run most games just fine, if not you can just play the game at 1680x1050 anyway.
maj0rgamer Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 (edited) sceptre has a good line of monitors for gaming which are decently priced around the 200-$300 range for 20-24" screens. saw a nice acer (lower end but decent) 22" awhile back for less than $200 as well. samsung is an excellent brand but usually runs a little more. here are a few choices: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824112009 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824112011 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824009145 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824001310 i would pick the 24" sceptre out of this bunch Edited December 10, 2008 by Maj0r Gamer
