Ok, so i was wondering what monitors you guys would recomend? Size? Resolution? I want a good one for both gaming and movies. I'm kinda new at this so I don't really know what's good and what's not. I'm going to get a new ATI card and rig soon (relatively, and probably either the 4850 or 4830), and I don't want to spen a fortune. Just wanted to get a good opinion. Also, does brand matter, and if so what are the good ones?

with those card selections, i would stay below 1680x1050

you could get monitors in the same size that do 1920x1080 (which is 1080p) but you'd be pushing your graphics. But this would be great for movies

sceptre has a good line of monitors for gaming which are decently priced around the 200-$300 range for 20-24" screens. saw a nice acer (lower end but decent) 22" awhile back for less than $200 as well. samsung is an excellent brand but usually runs a little more.

here are a few choices:

that's a heck of a find. I may want to get it as well.

i'm about to cover my eyes and pull the trigger on that. maybe try to cut the cost by selling my acer 22" on ebay or something... I might try puttin it up on the market place too.
