xly15 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I'm looking to get a new monitor sometime in the future. I can't say when because I don't know when I will have money. I have a 4870 as of now on a 17 crt @ 1600x1200. I'm looking for a 24 inch LCD for $350 and under that can do 1900x1200. I'm looking at this SCEPTRE X24WG-1080P Black 24" 2ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 4000:1 or this SAMSUNG 2433BW High Glossy Black 24" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 20000:1(1000:1) If you guys want to add any other suggestions I'm open. tanka12345 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Both are good monitors, although if you're gaming, you should buy the Sceptre, as it has a faster response time (2ms). I would also recommend the BenQ V2400W at: http://benq.com/products/LCD/?product=1313 I'm not sure where and if they sell it in the US, but it's a really great monitor, and has an HDMI port allowing you to experience your 4870 in full HD . I'm not sure of the price, but here in NZ it's NZ$750, which works to be around $350-$375US. The extra money is totally worth it. Thanks, Tanka12345

markiemrboo Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I'll vouch for the G2400's. I've got two at home and love them.
lepel Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 (edited) Looks very simple in terms of design and it has nice specs. Go for it I'd say! I have had a 19" BenQ for over 2,5 years and never had a single problem with it. Good quality assured.
