Router Dropping Internet

First the Modem could be going as well as the router. One way to test is to get a crossover cable, and plug this from the modem to 1 of the 4 ports on the router rather then the uplink port. If it fails, then it is the MODEM at fault, not the router.


I am using a WRT54G that has run flawlessly for the last 3 years, though recently, I changed the firmware over to DD-WRT, and I now use the wireless portion as a client to feed the 3 PCs in this room.
