FUZi0N Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Ok I've had my 19" 16:10 samsung for over a year now and I wanna go bigger! I was just wondering if I should go with the 22" or 24" and which would be best for gaming without hindering performance. The specs for my system are in my sig and I have another 30 days to upgrade my 9800gtx for a gtx 260, which is gonna happen. I would like to stay around $300 if possible and I will be selling this samsung.
slngsht Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 (edited) You wont' see any difference from going from 22" to 24" so I suggest going for a 24. Plus you normally get full HD with the resolution that comes on a 24". I love mine. Edited November 27, 2008 by slngsht
The Smith Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 (edited) The bigger the better First, exclude 30", for they are $1k & +. This makes no sense. So I would also go for a 24". Some can be had for around 300$ when getting good deals. I bought an Acer for $338 tx included, and that is in canadian dollars. There are also a few 25.5 and 28" monitors, but they have the same resolution as a 24", and for sure they are more expensive. Good luck Edited November 27, 2008 by The Smith
Comp Dude2 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 22" Significantly cheaper than 24's and the resolution wont force you to always be considering that SLI/CF setup. Suppose for gaming you might want a 24 (i'd really like 2x 22" but not for gaming) but it'll put the gfx card through alot more. g0tanks Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 A GTX260 will do fine on a 24", plus if you get one now you won't have to upgrade later.
