Hey guys,

Most of you know that I am getting a new computer to christmas.

Now I don't have enough money for an OS(Vista).

So I will probably go with Linux 64-bit for a while.

I was wondering if it is any good for games?

Thanks

Most games will not be able to play on Linux and performance under WINE will be very slow if they play at all :(

linux will run your pc much the same as windows will, allow you to run a web browser like firefox and access the internet, as well as almost anything else windows can do...the problem is, windows is what most programs and games are written for since linux isn't very well know outside of the enthusiast pc community.

not everything will work with linux, but alot of stuff will...except for games, in which case most won't :(
