Rokkaholik Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I have a set of Aiwa headphones that the rubber ear covers are completely shredded on. These sound fantastic, but the rubber parts get everywhere when I try to use them. So... I'm going to buy a new set of headphones. I like the ones that are ear sized, or the ones that completely cover the ear and would like to stick in the Under $70 range. I'm looking for good audio clarity with good bass response and crisp mids/high's. The only brands I usually had were Aiwa and Sony. I see many Sennheisers on the Egg, but not familiar with their stuff first hand other than an old microphone I had. These will be basically for music listening, so I don't need a gaming mic or anything built in. Any good references?
Guest KrankyOldLady Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 If your looking for personal use, i'd say seinheiser is the best outthere. But dont do it over the internet, get to a store so you can fit.

Silverfox Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 If you are looking to use these as a portable, the Koss Porta Pro and the Shure SE110 are a fairly decent pair.
hardnrg Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I disagree with Sennheiser being the best for a small budget for *headphones*... admittedly the headsets are probably the best sounding To me, the cheap Sennheiser headphones sound muffled, bland and boring... I think this will be more obvious if you are used to Aiwa/Sony headphones Koss PortaPro are supra-aural (pad on the ear), and if you like the headband design, I say they are unbeatable for this budget... so +1 from me
SMeeD Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I loved my AD700s so Im going to recomend the AD500s because they are in your price range. By far the most comfortable headphones Ive used, the pad covers the ear. If they are anything like the AD700s they almost fit the bill. The two downsides are they let a lot of noise in (and out) and they are light on the bass. Take it with a grain of salt though, Ive never heard the AD500s in person. tkrow21 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Sennheiser's are great. Good sound and exceptionally long life.
