ccokeman Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Its a matter of the eye candy you want to see. Tri SLI GTX280s is nice. So is a pair of HD4870X2s. The size of the display matters nil. Its the resolution and quality of the image that is output to the display since the display only allows viewing of what is sent to it. I say buy whats in your budget and build the system that plays the games YOU play, at the quality settings you want. Just keep in mind that you will run into a CPU bottleneck at the lower resolutions. Some games scale well with CrossfireX most don't scale well with it. SLI scales better in most games right now. road-runner Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 would i be able to put 3 ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 on to a Asus Rampage II Extreme I dont know how you would do it if it would even work, there is only one connector on my 4870x2s so I can only connect 2 together.
