I almost saved $200 bucks on a steering shaft, but it turns out a friend of mine from the Mustang club gave me his for free, and it was in better condition than the ebay one. I had only spoken to him once before, about an iPod he was selling. I had an ad with my car up for sale (wanted to trade up for a Cobra) and I said it needed a new steering thing, and he offered it. Do your local groups/clubs have forums? I get pretty busy sometimes and can't go, but I make sure to be noticed on the forums, that way at least people know me.
